Resident Population

Allen Cares provides services for a variety of residents. However, resident placement is based on the compatibility of your loved one with others. We understand compatibility with others is key to long-term successful placement.

Allen Cares provides Adult Family Home Services for four ambulatory residents, both male, and female, with varying disabilities, including advanced age, correctional clients, developmentally disabled, intellectually impaired, emotionally disturbed, mental illness, irreversible dementia, Alzheimer’s, physically disabled, terminally ill, and traumatic brain injury. Allen Cares will assess mobility, physical and psychological health to ensure all needs are met.

Services Provided

• Room and board
• Private and Semi-private rooms.
• 24-hour resident assistant services to provide personal assistance when required with the activities of daily living, including, but not limited to, assistance using the toilet, bathing, feeding, ambulating, personal grooming, and other related service.
• Dietary monitoring and menu planning, specifically three nutrition and properly prepared meals with between-meal nourishments and restricted diets as required by the resident’s attending physician.
• Housekeeping service. (Residents may participate if they choose to do so.)
• Clean bed and linen.
• Laundry services for personal clothing items, and linen.
• Assistance in obtaining access to necessary health services including a physician of the resident’s choice whether necessary, or the services of another licensed physician if a personal physician has not been designated or is not available.
• Transitional care.
• Information and referrals.
• Medication administration.
• Health assessments and medication reviews by a registered nurse.
• Assistance in arranging for clergy according to the resident’s choice.
• Community integration.
• Recreational and diversionary activities.
• Outsourced transportation to all physician appointments and home planned activities.
